Sharing my journey through Air Force Officer Training School (OTS) and beyond.

Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS) SharePoint

The AFRS SharePoint is the central hub for active duty OTS application information.  Official documents such as the TFOT guide, questionnaire updates, active duty selection instructions, etc. are maintained on this SharePoint.  This is also the site you will use to submit your application.

AFRS SharePoint Links

Here are the main links to the SharePoint.  As a reminder, this site requires CAC access.  Poke around in there because there are a lot of useful documents tucked away in some of the obscure directories.

Background

In the past the Air Force OTS application process was completely managed by the base education center.  While this was great for those who were fortunate enough to have an experienced counselor, it was not so great if the counselor was not helpful.  In 2015 the application process was transitioned entirely to SharePoint.  They recently re-introduced the base education center as an advisory role, but a lot of the experience is gone.  SharePoint is still how AFRS accepts active duty applications.

The first step for your journey will be to become intimately familiar with both the Air Force Portal AFRS page and their SharePoint.  Both are only accessible with CAC access.
