I wanted to thanks for your work.
airforceotsguy
Thank you for the support!
Wen Song
Thank you for the information.
And how can I get to know the selection board results?
airforceotsguy
The results for civilians is routed through recruiters, active duty is posted in the military sites online once commanders notify selectees
Wen Song
So my situation is a little complicated. I’m an active duty Marine when I submitted my package with a conditional release form. And I’m getting out in February. So am I considered civilian or active duty? And I do have a account on myPers, but it said I don’t have authorization to access some documents or files.
airforceotsguy
I think I remember your situation and name, glad you were able to apply! You’d be considered a civilian. Did you work through a recruiter or no?
Wen Song
Yes. But the recruiter told me I’m not on the 22CPW01 board for civilians(also I don’t have any flight hours). He said I should be on 22OTS01 board. But I thought this board is for active duty airmen. So I’m so confused. I don’t even know if my package actually went on any boards.
airforceotsguy
Sounds like he may not have submitted you for the board. When all of the references say “active duty” they mean active duty Air or Space Force. Inter-service transfers work a little different which is why you have to work with a recruiter. If he said you’re on a board, do any of the dates line up to anything I posted? You shouldn’t need flight hours to apply
Wen Song
22CPW01 is the board for civilians. And the notes of board schedule did state that civilians applicants need to have at least 500 flight hours. So you think the recruiter didn’t tell me the truth that he didn’t submit my package at all? That’s pretty upset. Is there any chance I can verify that?
airforceotsguy
Ah sorry about that, I’m on mobile and don’t have it all in front of me at the moment. Yeah if he told you that you’re submitted and the dates line up with a civilian board I don’t know why he would have any reason to lie. Sounds like there is some miscommunication. Is the 500 hours a hard requirement? Does not having 500 prevent you from applying? Can your recruiter confirm you were indeed submitted? All of those questions I’d clear up with your recruiter. He’s in the military, your in the military, have your CO call his if it gets to that
Wen Song
Yes. I think it’s a prerequisite. I texted him the beginning of November. He told me my package was with the program manager for 22OTS01 board not 22CPW01. But it doesn’t seem right. That’s why I’m trying to figure out what’s really going on. Well I don’t think my CO can get involved with this since we are in different services. But thanks for the information. I’ll try to ask the recruiter again tomorrow.
airforceotsguy
No problem, keep me posted and hit me up if I can help more. I’ll look at the boards and dates when I get home
Jay
Can you please elaborate on CAD’s? Do you contact any AF recruiter or need to reach out to officer recruiter? I know 1 officer recruiter could cover several states. Thank you for any information
airforceotsguy
I wish I knew more about it. Yes I think it is all through a recruiter, and if you have one of the technical degrees on their needs list they can perhaps match you to one of those billets. All of this should be through the regional officer recruiter vs the regular ones
