FY19 TFOT Board Information

The below slides were included with the schedule that AFRS posted on AF Portal.  I truly appreciate that AFRS took the time to put this together for us.  There is some great info in these slides…  it is a validation of the underlying messages I have been pushing out through my posts.

I wonder what the two subprograms entail (technical and non-technical). Since those with STEM degrees are in a category of their own, does that make it more competitive, or are more selected due to the nature of their background…?

I’d have to look at it closer but I think those with degrees which met the requirements for technical had a better shot because of the subcategory. Those with STEM who didn’t qualify for technical just got kind of like of bonus points for whatever nonrated or rated job they were going for

Is it true that the 19OT02 civilian board moved up by 2 months from Mar 19 to Jan?

Thanks for this site and info. I had some confusion if the “TFOT applicant profile” was the same, or a separate entity than the OTS application profile; but it seems they are the same. Also I was confused on the format, if the one my recruiter sent me (Dec 2018) was merely an example or what we need to follow.

Yeah they are the same thing. It used to be the OTS applicant profile but they changed the name to TFOT. Use the one your recruiter wants you to use; you may need to clarify with him. The ones I often see from civilians is a PDF version that looks similar but not as clean as the examples I have on my site.
